Reviving this since it's cool.

1. English: it's my native language xD nothing much more to say about it. I speak the American dialect, with a mix of a Pacific Coast and Upper Midwest accent, both of which sound similar to a Canadian accent.

2. French: my second language, I studied it for three years in high school and still review it on my own time. At my peak I was semi-fluent, and currently I can still read and write fairly well but I have a hard time speaking due to a lack of use.

3. Japanese: I grew up watching the Studio Ghibli films and understand Japanese fairly well and can read/write the hiragana and kana scripts decently, but I have a hard time speaking and I struggle with kanji.

4. Polish: I know some Polish words and can read it with some success, and thankfully I'm good with pronunciation and the accent since my maternal family is Polish so I've had some exposure to it since childhood. I'm planning on studying it in the fall.

5. Arabic: I can speak some words and basic sentences in Arabic because one of my cousins is fluent in the Egyptian dialect. And since one of my best friends speaks a different dialect of Arabic I can still understand it and communicate with him that way. The dialects of Arabic vary a lot though so I doubt I'd be able to understand a Mesopotamian Arabic or Darija speaker that well (sorry ZTFR :P )

1) French (native language) ;
2) English (studying at school) ;
3) Spanish, with a pretty bad level (studying at school).

My writing in English isn't bad compared to my class, but when I speak English and Spanish, I have a terrible french accent and it's not very comfortable to speak them though xD

1) English: Not my mother tongue, but English is my first language. I think, read and write almost exclusively in English (especially since I'm in an English-taught study). I was never really taught to speak it, I suppose - I just learned on my own from television and the internet.

2) Dutch: My native language and the one that I use the most in everyday communication with my friends & family. I love Dutch. :P

3) Spanish: I understand Spanish (almost) perfectly when reading or listening and can speak and write it fairly well, but I'm not nearly fluent (taking 'fluent' to mean 'not having to constantly think about what you're saying' :P )

4) French: I had French in high school for five years and I can read it without much issue. Listening comprehension is limited because (and I mean no offense) the French are not too great with enunciation :P My spoken French is limited to basic phrases - enough to get around, but not nearly enough to hold a meaningful conversation :P

5) German: Since German is basically just Weird Dutch, listening to and reading it present few issues. Since it's so close to Dutch, I can generally make myself understood in German by improvising and making it up on the spot, but I can't say it's anywhere near correct. The same goes for Afrikaans, by the way.

6) Mandarin: Hardly fair to put it up since I really can't read or write or speak it for the life of me (yet), but living in Taipei I was kind of forced to learn at least enough Mandarin to say hello and order food (and know what I'm ordering :P ). I'm planning on continuing my education, though, as I'd love to learn more.

I'd also love to learn Arabic, Portuguese, Malay/Indonesian and Maori. Right now my knowledge of these languages is effectively limited to swearing, but hopefully that'll change sooner rather than later :P

A piece of toast and a terminator.

English is the only language I can fluently read and write, but I'm decent at Spanish. I can say a few sentences and phrases in French and German, and I know a few words in Japanese.

French - First language, really good at it.
English - I think I'm pretty decent at it, I can get out of any situation with it so ..
Moroccan arabic - Almost fluent with it, at least I used to be fluent but no one speaks morrocan arabic except in Morocco and in some places in France, so I can't really keep the level on.
German - Learning it at school my most used sentence is Ich habe nicht verstanden.
Arabic - I used to learn it at school but I lost a lot of it so I'm not that good at it anymore.

Saw this topic and was going to post pretty much the same thing. The only difference is that I'm not 'a little bit' in French, I'd like to say medium good at least.

I AM THE UNSHRINKWRAPPER!

I speak Canadian, eh. Also I know a little French (unfortunately I could only take classes for it in grades 8 and 9) and I'm quite fluent in Gibberish.

English of course, but I know a bit of Japanese (I need some practice on the r's, the particles and some kanji) and I hope to learn Spanish and French in the near future.

I was wondering if there was a thread like this

Same for me. I started with Canadian English, learned French in school from grades 4-7, then when I moved to California I had a hard time finding a way to keep learning it, so I stopped. It doesn't help that my high school stopped requiring taking a second language and subsequently dropped all the regular French and Spanish courses.
