to tell you the truth, i don't see any differences from this and the skin you shown on this post. the problem with this skin is not that it's not sharp enough, it's because there are no transition between different layers of the skin, like you take parts of this mammoth and some from another one and just glue it onto the skin. like fridooh said, it looks very unnatural. and for the hippo, you gonna need a lot more color and texture. sorry if i sound kinda harsh, i just want to help you improve. |

Well, Robbie is helping me with the mammoth skin. About the hippo, I think the current amount of texture and color is fine Prehistoric hippos probably didn´t have much color, just like modern day hippos.Anyways, the skin for the young hippo is done:

I was gonna make it into a fish, but somehow the idea for a giant squid popped into my head and I decided, why not? So I made some edits to the mesh:![]() I still need to add tentacle alphas, though. Any tips? |
