I second fridooh's suggestions. Some pictures are really amazing like the ones with the penguins, but some others are too dark. Other than that this was a really amazing update! |

Great update! The underwater pics looks beautiful, but I especially love the mating & breeding pics (the one with the forest background). Great work! |

Sorry for long inactivity, I've lost interest in Zoo Tycoon for some time. But now I'm back, and here is the update with crabs: This is Christmas Island, small isle on the Indian Ocean. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Not having many native small mammals, on Christmas Island their role is taken by colourful, red land crabs. ![]() These crustaceans spend most of their lives in burrows in soil of local rainforests, eating organic debris. ![]() ![]() But one time, when it's time to breed, every single crab on the island joins others to form a gigantic legion wandering to the beach. ![]() ![]() Obviously, anthropogenic objects may make much of problem, but this doesn't stop the animals, which still go, sometimes managing to cross the street... ![]() ...and sometimes not. ![]() And here are the cliffs - this is the place, where the animals will go to the beacha and the sea, where they will breed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It is a short migration, but for a small animal it can be comparable to those "big" wanders. After getting to the beach, crabs breed and die, but it's aother story. |
