My brother refuses to believe Spinosaurus was mostly aquatic, had short legs, and he thinks that it would destroy a Tyrannosaurus. He thinks it's 70 feet long. xD

I'm a Christian and all, but I think these guys don't know anything about basic evolution and cladistics. When was Sinosauropteryx supposed to be the direct ancestor of birds? They're just generalizing, they say birds descend from feathered dinosaurs, but there were feathered dinosaurs after early birds first appeared, so birds couldn't evolve from dinosaurs. It's like we say: Humans are supposed to descend from apes, but there are apes today, so they couldn't evolve into humans :/

Greetings!

What the heck... What does this even do with the topic, and what does that even mean.
komodo is trolling
No he wasn't. He was referring to Paleop's post and just because he's Christian doesn't mean he doesn't accept evolution.
oo ok sorry my bad

I'm not slow! That's just my moe!

It bothers me when people automatically assume spinosaurus is helpless on land. Have any of you ever seen a cormorant fight on land? Spinosaurus may not have had tyrannosaurus bite but it had a longer neck, never underestimate the power of reach and a low center of gravity in a fight. I don't think spinosaurus is a more likely winner, but it shouldn't be discounted so outright. To immediately leap out and start spouting bite forces and claiming tyrannosaurus is a guarantee is no better than the JP/// fanboys you complain about. Stop pretending you can know the outcome of such a fight, because you can't.

Joe99, this post was completely rude and unneeded, and I've already asked you to stop provoking people based on their believes in the past.
You've been warned.

To anyone here who does not know who Karl Pilkington is, he is one of the funniest people I have ever heard! I would describe him as a lovable fool with a perfectly round head and incredibly wacky ideas about the world around him! He's obviously not a paleontologist but I think his views on dinosaurs are worth hearing if you want a good laugh!

Here are a few quotes to give you a few ideas about what to expect:

Karl: Why wasn't there dinosaurs back then just like how we have dogs now?
Ricky and Steve to each other: He's watching the Flintstones.

Steve: (Explaining to Karl why cavemen and dinosaurs didn't 'knock about' together) I think its fairly common knowledge that the dinosaurs did not exist [when men arrived].
Karl: Well who gave the dinosaurs their names?

Here are the links to those and other funny Karl Pilkington moments:

Finally, here is an incredible picture that includes a great quote from Karl! It is actually quite a profound thought until he gets to the end! As someone else put it, "He says the smartest things in the dumbest possible way."
