I'd be hard-pressed to recognize that thing as a dinosaur, let alone a T. rex. |

Probably not based on how the tail is more akin to crocodylians than ankylosaurs like in the Barrtoth. Still absolutely inaccurate with even less of an excuse. |

It's a fantasy theropod-like monster from an online Zbrush tutorial. I think it's from a Zbrush tutorial anyway. It's definitely an online tutorial on how to sculpt or animate or something. The actual example from the tutorial itself is pretty awesome. This guy seems to have tried to replicate it and only achieved "meh" standards. |

Not to mention re-labeling it as a T. rex, which is basically the equivalent of copying the Xenomorph design from the Alien movies and labeling it as a polar bear. |

So recently, I was hopping around Youtube and I found this woman at the Field Museum and holy moly. This woman is just... A gem, this is someone who has never, nor will ever exist again if calculations are correct. I don't wanna spoil it for you I just recommend that you watch the video and let the hilarity ensue NOTE: Now I will warn you there's some creationism here and there but it wont take over the video. I DO NOT want religious topics being brought up and ruining the topic due to the video I just want you guys to have a good laugh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32mxZxv3dYM |

When you visit a toy shop and see a set of dinosaur figures with the word "realistic" in large letters printed on the side of the box, yet the set contains a fatherless scaly raptor and a T. rex standing in the outdated tripod position And then around the corner, a load of Papo figures including a feathered Therizonosaurus. |

Oh god I've seen her before. This is my local museum too I actually saw a mother at the museum with her kids once and they were asking her about dinosaurs and her response was something along the lines of "they aren't real don't worry. Come on, let's go look at the plants instead." If I get my volunteer job there I so look forward to dealing with people like this lady and the one I saw.

Papo has never made a Therizinosaurus actually. CollectA made two really excellent ones though: http://dinotoyblog.com/2014/12/10/therizinosaurus-deluxe-version-by-collecta/ http://dinotoyblog.com/2012/03/13/therizinosaurus-collecta/ If you were thinking of the Schleich Therizinosaurus than I need to point out that feathers alone don't make it accurate: http://dinotoyblog.com/2015/02/08/therizinosaurus-world-of-history-by-schleich/ On that note, Schleich belongs in this topic. *edit* As for tripods, that's typically done due to the limitations of plastic as a medium and not due to being outdated. A theropod posed as if rearing up to lean on it's tail is not objectively inaccurate so long as it's only holding that pose briefly. Edited by stargatedalek, Mar 26 2016, 12:38 PM.

Ok ,for the ones who don't want theyr brain blown up the Lady in the video is basicly : - Saiyng that Darwinian evolution is 100 year old scence that have to be forgotten because it's too old, blindly forgotting that her point of view is even older - Not reconising a trilobite and proposing they still out there - Insulting Charles R Knight artwork saiyng it's a waste of time and money - Proposing that aliens created life on land(I laughed so hard at this) -Saiybng that scence is only guessing his theories -impliing that wee eill never know exactly when plantlife appeared, and pretending a video of that - Saiyng that all the missing links are hoaxes - Siyng that the only truth are the fossils. -Making fun of Helicoprion -saying that evolution of tetrapog is basically that fins ''fell off'' and they where replaced magicaly by feet -and a lot of other crap I'm too lazi to write Conclusions. Feed her to a Dunkleosteus! |

A lot of thinks pissed me off about that woman's confidence in her ignorant theories, but I think the thing that got to me the most was talking about how tetrapogs had feet the whole time, and that science is saying their fins fell off, ect |
