![]() No offence to whoever made this, but, the face on that thing looks more like something from out of star wars or doctor who or one of goblins from jim henson's labyrinth, than a lemurs face. |

It's by Mike Habib. In other words, one of the paleontologists who helped to establish the quadrupedal launch method for pterosaurs and disprove Donald Henderson's claim of flightlessness in large azhdarchids IIRC. Would hardly call him a failure for that.

I wouldn't say it matters who made it, that art in itself is still a failure. Paleop there is nothing wrong with that Dimetrodon. Edited by stargatedalek, Mar 28 2016, 04:17 PM.

Yeah I guess, but the face is really the only thing wrong with it (and even it's not objectively inaccurate, just improbably bizarre-looking). |

Except that's what Megaladapis actually looked like. Hardly a failure. |

DG has it, in short, Megaladapis was WEIRD: ![]() They were probably some of the weirdest things ever to crawl out of madagascar and that's really saying something. Though the color choice and angle really weren't the best, Mike Habib's Megaladapis is a very decent, anatomically correct rendition of a truly strange beast I prefer this reconstruction over here however, if only because angle and colors: As for actual failures however... ![]() |

You do know that was the FIRST Camarasaurus skeletal ever published, right? And that they only had a partial skeleton to work by. Keep in mind that this was back in the mid to late 19th century when people were just finding out what sauropods actually were. |

"You should notice that EVERY vertebrate with direct development (birds, mammals and reptiles) are almost identical to adults when they have 1/2 of the maximum size. Without mentioning that the orbit shape difference and the differences in the lacrimals horns leads us to believe that the Cleveland skull was a juvenile albertosaurine. Besides every predator competes with other predators. It would not make difference." - Some guy arguing for Nanotyrannus' existence. Link to that comment and the rest on that chain he began. |

At least they have a face that looks more believable, compared to what I shown earlier. Edited by Ulquiorra, Mar 29 2016, 03:37 AM.

Yes, there is a difference between "cow-like, slightly curved" and freacking Alf.
