That was exactly the case. Ah, adventures in trying to teach people! Honestly it's one of the less ridiculous things I've heard while doing this sort of thing.

Now, I know childrens cartoon books aren't exactly the best when it comes to paleontological accuracy, but the following has to be among the worst.

So my niece once had a animal activity book, and in the dinosaur section there was a dot-to-dot picture, and this picture, when complete, was identical to this,

Now, the worst part, it was supposed to be a picture of a "Pterodactyl".

That's not just deplorable inaccuracy, that's outright plagiarism!

Quick, someone call Nintendo so they can sue for copyright so much that whoever wrote the book is driven to poverty.

WWD's "Utahraptors" are probably my favourite of all the featherless raptors. But yes, that particular shot always made me giggle.

My favourite featherless raptors are probably a draw between those in the original JP and most of the ones by John Sibbick, but the WWD Utahraptors are certainly up there as well.

IMO that shot actually makes them look adorable! xD

I know it just looks so derpy in that shot, and my reaction to that shot is the same now as it was when the episode first aired.

Play the benny hill over that, also that utahraptor failed, it had a chance to leap and get those claws into action, but no, it chose the bite, and it failed.

There was no way a leap would have worked there.

Besides, I think the past couple of posts crapping on the WWD Utahraptor is a bit unfair. It was the first time I had ever seen raptors fold their arms like a bird rather than pronate them like the JP Raptors.

In terms of actual biomechanics and animation in general, they did really well for themselves.

Every animals in this movie request an asteroid to put them out of their missery... Specieally the Therizinosaurus. Sadly it didn't happen...

TBH that looks less like a scene from a movie and more like one of those cringeworthy stock images one would expect to find on a badly-written news article about the latest "FEARSOME REALITIVE OF DA MIGHTY T-WRECKZ!!!!!"

However bad the dinosaurs are the photo-shopping itself is pretty good.
