Pretty sure it's not supposed to be a specific location because the same movie also has Tsintaosaurus and Torosaurus.

Not just that, it also has a Tyrannosaurus... A FREAKING T. REX co-existing with Tarbosaurus!

And also Mosasaurs that are big enough to swallow T. rex whole....

IIRC, didn't grass become widespread during the end of the Cretaceous?

What time period was this thing set, early or mid Cretaceous, then I see your point?

Grass evolved in the late Cretaceous, yes.

But it evolved in India, and only got about as far as Pakistan (I think) before the K/T event.

Should at least have reached China by the late Paleocene, though, given the presence of hypsodonty in lambdopsalid multies.
