Apparently there's a huge onslaught of people looking for fossils in England, and my local newspaper had an article about a "200-million year old fossil believed by palaeontologists to be the ancestor of the dolphin.

Because dolphins so much belong to Ichthyosauria.

Yeah, I mean, a Velociraptor preying on an Allosaurus? Would a fox prey on a grizzly bear? That's just one of many, many issues with this...this THING! I don't even know what to call it!

*Sees that Gorsh is posting*
This should be fun!

At leats it's not like here in Brazil, where I've more than once heard that Brachiosaurus turned (Notice the lack of the therm "Evolved") into Giraffes, yeah makes TOTAL sense...

Your country sounds really bad when it comes to paleontology, extremos! Ironic, considering there's a number of good fossils from Brazil. But yeah, mistakes about evolutionary relationships such as that are really annoying. I can forgive some, such as mammoths/mastodons evolving into elephants and Smilodons evolving into domestic cats, but...Triceratops evolving into rhinos? Pterosaurs evolving into birds? Just what are these people smoking?

Well I think it's better if I don't tell you about the Evangelic churches that spread out that Dinosaurs didn't exist then... Oops! I said it...

That guy needs to find a new sense of logic.

also why is Triceratops being portrayed as an active, apex predator that hunted Edmontosaurus? ._.

Agreed. Triceratops was a herbivore and occasional scavenger (like a Megatherium), not an active predator.

Well, if it was like a wild boar, then I wouldn't rule out attacks on sick or weak hadrosaurs (boars here have been known to kill and eat deers on occasion), but not an attack like that.
Also, it has to be an apex predator to fight T. rex ? That makes no sense.
If Trike was an apex predator, it would be much rarer to find, but actually it makes the majority of the large animal fossils from the site.
